The guitar features a 2-piece basswood body with a 2-piece 3/16” flame maple top, finished in the distinctive Trans Blue Denim / Slate color with a black body color. This classic Suhr wood combination provides a balanced fundamental response from the basswood together with additional attack, definition and visual depth from the figured maple top.

The neck is a one-piece maple construction with no separate fingerboard, shaped to Suhr’s comfortable Even C Slim .800”–.880” profile. A 10”–14” compound radius and 22 Heavy nickel frets provide a fast, comfortable feel for chords, bends and technical lead playing.

The HSS electronics consist of Suhr ML Standard single-coils in the neck and middle positions together with an SSH Plus humbucker at the bridge. The result is an extremely flexible tonal range, from clear and articulate single-coil sounds to powerful rock and high-gain bridge tones. Controls are intentionally simple with master volume, master tone and a 5-way blade selector.

A Gotoh 510 two-post tremolo with solid saddles and steel block provides smooth tremolo response and excellent sustain, while Sperzel locking tuners help maintain stable tuning.

This 2009 Suhr Pro Series S4 is in good condition, showing small scratches from normal use. It remains a high-quality player’s instrument with premium Suhr construction and a versatile HSS setup.
