Our Story
From passion to profession — guitars with soul
Some stories start with a business plan. Ours started with guitars — and the love of them.
Long before it became a company, the two friends Ford and Ben were just two amateur musicians , playing in a hobby band, spending their freetime chasing tones, swapping instruments, and talking endlessly about wood, strings, and sound. What began as a shared hobby slowly grew into something bigger.
In 2018, they decided to take the next step and turn their passion into a small business. That’s how Guitar Heroes was born. At first, the focus was on finding and offering great used instruments to other dealers across Europe. Sweden’s unique rules for selling used instruments made that possible and allowed them to share guitars that truly had something special to offer.
Then came the Covid years. Many music stores they admired sadly closed their doors, and players everywhere began buying online. That’s when the duo decided to open the Guitar Heroes webshop — to connect directly with musicians and help them find instruments that inspire.
A few years later, Guitar Heroes teamed up with an instrument workshop in Malmö. Today, part of the stock and operations are based there, and there’s also a warehouse in Hässleholm where the company began. Malmö is open to visitors, while Hässleholm is by appointment — both places where guitars are cared for and stories continue.
At Guitar Heroes, every guitar is treated like it has its own voice and story. Every shipment is fully insured, and if a guitar doesn’t feel right for the player, returns are easy and straightforward. The right guitar should feel like it found you.

Even now, Ford and Ben still run Guitar Heroes part-time, just as they did in the beginning. What started as a hobby has grown into something much more — a way to share their passion for guitars, one instrument at a time.
