Martin OM-28 Retro (Pre-owned) 2026 - Aura pickup

C.F. Martin & Co. OM-28E Retro (2016) – Fishman F1 Aura Plus – Good Condition

This Martin OM-28E Retro from 2016 — also searched as Martin OM28E Retro, Martin OM 28E, Martin OM-28 Retro, used Martin OM-28E, or second-hand Martin acoustic-electric guitar — is a premium Orchestra Model combining vintage-inspired Martin construction with advanced Fishman electronics.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the OM-28E Retro delivers a rich, articulate and beautifully balanced acoustic voice. Its long 25.4” scale length provides excellent projection, clear note separation and dynamic response, making it especially suitable for fingerstyle, flatpicking, recording and live performance.

The guitar features 1/4” scalloped X-bracing, giving the top an open, responsive character with rich overtones, warm mids, clear trebles and a controlled yet resonant bass response.

One of the standout features of the OM-28E Retro is its factory-installed Fishman F1 Aura Plus pickup and preamp system. Featuring Fishman’s Aura Acoustic Imaging technology, this sophisticated system blends the undersaddle pickup signal with studio microphone imaging to produce a natural and expressive amplified acoustic sound. It also offers onboard EQ, anti-feedback functions and a built-in tuner, making it an excellent choice for professional stage use.

Vintage-inspired appointments include a Modified Low Oval neck with Performing Artist Taper, 1 3/4” (44.5 mm) nut width, ebony fingerboard and bridge, bold herringbone top trim, grained ivoroid binding, diamonds-and-squares fingerboard inlays and nickel open-gear tuners.

The gloss finish with aging toner gives the guitar a warm, traditional appearance inspired by Martin’s historic Orchestra Models.

This 2016 Martin OM-28E Retro is in good condition, showing some small dents from normal use. These cosmetic marks are consistent with the guitar’s age and do not detract from its classic appearance.

An excellent choice for players seeking the traditional sound of a Martin OM-28 combined with the flexibility of a high-quality factory acoustic pickup system.
