The J-18M was produced for a relatively short period and is considerably less common on the used market than models such as the D-18 or D-28. Martin’s J body uses the broad M/0000-style outline with the deeper body depth of a dreadnought, resulting in a powerful acoustic voice while retaining excellent balance and definition.

Built with a solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, this 1989 J-18M produces a strong, open sound with punchy mids, clear trebles, controlled bass, and excellent projection. The larger Jumbo body adds extra depth and presence while preserving the direct, articulate response associated with mahogany Martins.
