C.F. Martin & Co. HD-35 (2010) – Three-Piece Rosewood Dreadnought – Very Good Condition
This Martin HD-35 from 2010 — also searched as Martin HD35, Martin HD 35, used Martin HD-35, second-hand Martin HD35, or Martin rosewood dreadnought — is a distinctive member of Martin’s Standard Series, combining the classic three-piece D-35 back with scalloped bracing and herringbone appointments.
Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, including the characteristic three-piece rosewood back, the HD-35 delivers a rich, full and resonant voice with deep bass, complex overtones and clear trebles.
One of the defining features of the HD-35 is its scalloped 1/4” X-bracing, which is lighter than the 5/16” bracing used on many other Martin dreadnoughts. This gives the top a very responsive feel and contributes to the model’s strong bass presence, open character and excellent sustain.
The guitar features a 25.4” scale length, traditional 1 11/16” (42.9 mm) nut width, Low Profile neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, herringbone top trim, and classic Style 35 appointments.
This 2010 Martin HD-35 is in very good condition, showing only light signs of normal use. It has been well maintained and remains a strong example of this distinctive rosewood dreadnought.
