Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, this HD-28V delivers a deep, powerful bass response, rich overtones, warm mids, and clear, articulate trebles. Its forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing gives the guitar an open and responsive character with excellent projection, sustain, and dynamic range.

The Vintage Series specifications include a Modified V neck profile, traditional 1 11/16” (42.9 mm) nut width, herringbone top trim, aging toner, ebony fingerboard and bridge, diamond-and-square fingerboard inlays, and vintage-style open-gear tuners. These details give the HD-28V both the appearance and playing character of a vintage-inspired Martin dreadnought.

This example is fitted with a passive pickup, allowing it to be connected to an acoustic amplifier, DI, or preamp for live performance while keeping the onboard system simple and unobtrusive.

This Martin HD-28V (2011) is in very good condition. It shows some weather checking in the lacquer and other light signs of normal use, giving the instrument an attractive naturally aged appearance.
