This Martin HD-28 from 2008 — also searched as Martin HD28, Martin HD 28, used Martin HD-28, second-hand Martin HD28, or Martin rosewood dreadnought — is a classic pre-Reimagined HD-28 with the rich, open tone that has made the model one of Martin’s most popular rosewood dreadnoughts.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the HD-28 delivers deep bass, rich overtones, strong mids and clear trebles. Its scalloped X-bracing gives the top a more open and responsive character than a standard D-28 from the same period, with excellent projection, sustain and dynamic range.

The guitar features the traditional pre-Reimagined specification with a Low Profile neck, 1 11/16” (42.9 mm) nut width, ebony fingerboard and bridge, herringbone top trim and classic Style 28 appointments.

This example is fitted with a K&K pickup, making it ready for live performance or recording while keeping the system simple and unobtrusive.

This 2008 Martin HD-28 is in good condition. There are some small scratches and small dents from normal use, but importantly there are no cracks and no repairs. The guitar has a strong, mature voice and sounds very good.
