Martin D12-28 Standard 12 string guitar (Pre-owned) 2002

C.F. Martin & Co. D12-28 (2002) – Rosewood 12-String Dreadnought – Very Good Condition

This Martin D12-28 from 2002 — also searched as Martin D1228, Martin D12 28, Martin 12-string, used Martin D12-28, or Martin rosewood 12-string dreadnought — is a classic 12-string version of Martin’s legendary Style 28 dreadnought.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the D12-28 delivers a rich, full 12-string voice with deep bass, complex overtones and bright, shimmering trebles. The paired strings create a broad, chorus-like sound that works beautifully for strumming, folk, rock, accompaniment and recording.

The full-size dreadnought body provides strong projection and excellent presence, while the traditional Style 28 construction gives the guitar the familiar warmth and harmonic richness associated with Martin’s rosewood models.

This 2002 Martin D12-28 has had the binding repaired. There are also some small scratches from normal use, but importantly there are no cracks.

The guitar has received a very good setup and plays comfortably, making it an excellent player’s example of a classic Martin 12-string.
