This Martin D-28 Standard 2014 — also searched as D28 2014, Martin D 28, Martin D-28 Standard, used Martin D28, or second-hand Martin D-28 — is a classic pre-Reimagined example of Martin’s legendary rosewood dreadnought.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, this 2014 D-28 delivers the traditional Martin sound with powerful projection, deep and controlled bass, strong mids, clear trebles, and the rich overtones associated with a rosewood dreadnought.

Unlike the later Reimagined D-28, the 2014 model retains the traditional 5/16” non-scalloped X-bracing, giving it a focused, punchy response with excellent definition and headroom. The traditional 1 11/16” (42.9 mm) nut width and Low Profile neck provide the familiar playing feel found on D-28s from this era.

Classic Style 28 appointments include an ebony fingerboard and bridge, Style 28 dot inlays, white binding, black pickguard, and chrome enclosed tuning machines.

This Martin D-28 (2014) is in excellent condition, showing only minimal signs of careful use. It has been very well maintained and is an excellent example of the classic pre-Reimagined D-28 specification.
