This Martin D-28 Standard from 2000 — also searched as Martin D28 2000, Martin D 28, used Martin D-28, second-hand Martin D28, or vintage-style Martin rosewood dreadnought — is a classic pre-Reimagined example of one of Martin’s most iconic acoustic guitars.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the D-28 delivers the powerful, full-bodied sound that has made the model a reference point for dreadnought acoustic guitars. It offers deep bass, rich overtones, clear trebles and excellent projection, making it equally suited to strumming, flatpicking, singer-songwriter work and recording.

As a 2000 pre-Reimagined D-28, this guitar retains the traditional construction used before Martin’s later updates. It features 5/16” non-scalloped X-bracing, a Low Profile neck, and the traditional 1 11/16” (42.9 mm) nut width, giving it the focused, punchy response and familiar playing feel associated with D-28s from this era.

Classic Style 28 appointments include an ebony fingerboard and bridge, Style 28 dot inlays, white binding and a clean, understated appearance.

This Martin D-28 (2000) is in good condition. It shows dents and scratches from use, consistent with a guitar of this age. Importantly, there are no cracks and no repairs.
