This Martin D-28 Standard from 2015 — also searched as Martin D28 2015, Martin D 28, used Martin D-28, second-hand Martin D28, or Martin rosewood dreadnought — is a classic pre-Reimagined D-28 with the traditional specifications that defined the model before Martin’s later updates.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the D-28 delivers the powerful, balanced sound for which the model is famous: deep bass, rich overtones, clear trebles and excellent projection.

As a 2015 pre-Reimagined D-28, it features 5/16” non-scalloped X-bracing, a Low Profile neck, and the traditional 1 11/16” (42.9 mm) nut width. This gives the guitar a focused, punchy response with excellent definition and the familiar feel associated with D-28s from this period.

The guitar is fitted with a passive pickup, making it ready for live use with an acoustic amplifier, DI box or external preamp while keeping the onboard system simple and unobtrusive.
