Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid genuine mahogany back and sides, the D-18 delivers the clear, punchy and woody tone the model is famous for. It has strong fundamentals, focused bass, lively mids and crisp trebles, making it an excellent choice for flatpicking, strumming, folk, country, bluegrass and singer-songwriter use.

The 2021 D-18 features forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing, giving the guitar an open and responsive voice with excellent projection and dynamic range. The Modified Low Oval neck with High Performance Taper and 1 3/4” (44.5 mm) nut width provide comfortable modern playability.

This example is fitted with an LR Baggs VTC active pickup, giving it a natural amplified sound for stage or recording use. The discreet soundhole-mounted controls allow easy volume and tone adjustment without changing the traditional appearance of the guitar.
