This Martin Custom Shop D-18 Style is a premium custom-built dreadnought designed for players seeking the classic Martin mahogany sound with upgraded Custom Shop specifications. Featuring an Adirondack spruce top and Adirondack scalloped 5/16” bracing, it offers exceptional headroom, fast response, and outstanding projection while retaining the warm, woody character that has made Style 18 Martins legendary.

Built with solid mahogany back and sides, this guitar produces a focused, articulate tone with punchy mids, clear trebles, and tight, controlled bass. Whether you’re flatpicking, fingerpicking, or accompanying vocals, it delivers remarkable balance and dynamic range.

The guitar features a Modified Low Oval neck profile with a comfortable 1 3/4” (44.5 mm) bone nut, satin-finished neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, brown faux tortoise binding, and tasteful Old Style 18 appointments with select abalone fingerboard inlays. The combination of a gloss body and satin neck provides both elegant aesthetics and smooth playability.

Compared to a standard D-18, this Custom Shop model benefits from its Adirondack top and bracing, giving it greater volume, more headroom, and a lively, responsive feel that continues to improve with age.
