The guitar has a Sitka spruce top treated with Martin's Vintage Tone System (VTS), which ages the wood for the open, mature sound of a well-played vintage instrument. The top is braced with VTS Adirondack spruce, and the back and sides are solid East Indian rosewood. Martin uses traditional protein glue and a dovetail neck joint for maximum resonance.
