This Martin 000-28 Standard from 2013 — also searched as Martin 00028, Martin 000 28, used Martin 000-28, second-hand Martin 000-28, or Martin rosewood 000 acoustic — is a classic pre-Reimagined example of Martin’s popular short-scale 000 design.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the 000-28 delivers a warm, balanced and articulate voice with rich overtones, clear trebles and a controlled bass response. Its compact 000 body and 24.9” short scale make it especially comfortable for fingerstyle, blues, light strumming and recording.

As a 2013 pre-Reimagined 000-28, it retains the traditional specifications of the period, including non-scalloped X-bracing, a Low Profile neck, and the classic 1 11/16” (42.9 mm) nut width.

This example is fitted with a passive pickup using a small jack installation, allowing the guitar to be amplified without enlarging or modifying the original end-pin hole. This is a nice solution for preserving the guitar’s originality while still making it practical for live use.

This 2013 Martin 000-28 is in very good condition, showing only light signs of normal use. It has been well maintained and presents very well overall.
