C.F. Martin & Co. 000-18 Standard (2000) – Mahogany Auditorium – Excellent Condition

This Martin 000-18 Standard from 2000 — also searched as Martin 00018, Martin 000 18, used Martin 000-18, second-hand Martin 000-18, or Martin mahogany 000 acoustic — is a classic pre-Reimagined small-body Martin with a warm, woody voice and very comfortable playability.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, the 000-18 delivers strong fundamental notes, clear trebles, warm mids and a controlled bass response. Compared with a rosewood 000, the mahogany construction gives it a more direct and focused sound with excellent note separation.

The 24.9” short scale provides slightly lower string tension than a long-scale OM or dreadnought, making the guitar comfortable for fingerstyle, blues, folk, chord work and singer-songwriter playing.

As a 2000 pre-Reimagined 000-18, it retains the traditional specifications of the period, including a 1 11/16” (42.9 mm) nut width, Low Profile neck and understated Style 18 appointments.

This 2000 Martin 000-18 is in excellent condition, especially impressive for an instrument more than two decades old. It has been carefully preserved and presents beautifully.
