C.F. Martin & Co. 000-18 Standard (2023) – Mahogany Auditorium – Excellent Condition

This Martin 000-18 Standard 2023 — also searched as Martin 00018, Martin 000 18, used Martin 000-18, second-hand Martin 000-18, or Martin mahogany acoustic — is a beautifully balanced short-scale acoustic combining classic Style 18 construction with comfortable modern playability.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid genuine mahogany back and sides, the 000-18 produces the clear, woody and responsive sound for which Martin’s mahogany guitars are famous. It offers strong note separation, warm and focused mids, clear trebles and a controlled bass response, making it an excellent instrument for both recording and live playing.

The 000 body and 24.9” short scale provide a particularly comfortable playing experience with slightly lower string tension than a long-scale OM or dreadnought. Combined with Martin’s Modified Low Oval neck with High Performance Taper and 1 3/4” (44.5 mm) nut width, it works beautifully for fingerstyle, chord work, blues, folk and light strumming.

The scalloped X-bracing gives the top excellent responsiveness and dynamic range, allowing the guitar to react easily to a light touch while still providing plenty of projection when played harder.

Traditional Style 18 appointments include an ebony fingerboard and bridge, Old Style 18 fingerboard inlays, tortoise-pattern binding and pickguard, and understated vintage-inspired aesthetics.

This Martin 000-18 (2023) is in excellent condition, showing only minimal signs of careful use. It has been very well maintained and is ready to play.
