Gretsch G6609TFM Players Edition Broadkaster (2019) Dark Cherry

Gretsch G6609TFM Players Edition Broadkaster (2019) – Dark Cherry Stain Flame Maple with Bigsby – Made in Japan – Excellent Condition

The Gretsch G6609TFM Players Edition Broadkaster is the flagship of Gretsch's center-block lineup. It was built to give the classic Gretsch look and chime a modern edge for players who play loud. This 2019 Gretsch Broadkaster was made in Japan and finished in Dark Cherry Stain over a stunning tiger flame maple body with a matching headstock.

The G6609TFM has a laminated flame maple body with an arched top and back, built around a chambered spruce center block. The center block adds resonance and an organic tone, keeps the weight comfortable and resists feedback at high volume. The neck is set lower into the body than on traditional Gretsch models, which makes the upper frets easier to reach.

The U.S.-made Full'Tron humbuckers are the heart of the guitar's sound. They deliver classic Gretsch chime, balance and brilliance, with more output, growl and midrange than traditional Filter'Trons. That makes this used Gretsch Broadkaster just as convincing with overdrive and distortion as with clean tones, covering rockabilly, rock, blues, indie and country.

The maple neck has a comfortable standard U profile. It has a 24.6" scale, a 12" radius ebony fingerboard with pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets.

Players Edition upgrades make the guitar stable and easy to live with:

• a string-through Bigsby B7CP vibrato for easy string changes and better tuning stability
• an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge
• Gotoh locking tuners
• a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut
• a master volume with treble bleed
• a no-load tone control with Squeezebox paper-in-oil capacitor
• Schaller strap locks

This second-hand Gretsch G6609TFM is in excellent condition, with minimal signs of use, and comes with its Gretsch hardshell case.
