C.F. Martin & Co. D-28 (2005) – Pre-Reimagined Rosewood Dreadnought – Very Good Condition
This Martin D-28 2005 — also searched as D28 2005, Martin D 28 Standard Series, or pre-reimagined D-28 — is a classic rosewood dreadnought known for its powerful projection, deep bass response, and clear articulation.
Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, this 2005 Martin D-28 delivers the iconic Martin tone: strong piano-like low end, clear mids, and bright, articulate trebles. The dreadnought body provides excellent headroom and projection, making it ideal for strumming, flatpicking, and ensemble playing.
As a pre-reimagined Standard Series model, it features non-scalloped X-bracing, giving it a focused, controlled low end and strong note definition compared to later scalloped versions.
This Martin D-28 (2005) is in very good condition, showing light cosmetic signs of normal use. There are minor surface marks and slight binding discoloration typical for guitars of this era. No structural problems.
Includes hard case.
