Martin 00-18C (1971) – Vintage Nylon String Guitar

This Martin 00-18C (1971) is a fine example of Martin’s nylon-string craftsmanship from the early 1970s. Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and genuine mahogany back and sides, it delivers a warm, balanced tone with clear trebles and a sweet midrange — perfect for classical, folk, and fingerstyle playing.

The 12-fret mahogany neck paired with a 2” nut width provides the traditional classical feel, while the East Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge add tonal depth and elegance. Its fan bracing ensures responsiveness and projection that suit nylon strings beautifully.

This 1971 guitar is in very good condition for its age. Importantly, it has no cracks or structural issues, and the action is low and comfortable with no buzzing. There is some light weather checking on the top, typical of vintage Martins, which adds character without affecting stability or tone. Overall, it’s a well-preserved vintage nylon-string Martin that plays beautifully. Comes with a hardshell case.
